Description:Under the direction of the supervising physician, the dependent Physician Assistant provides professional medical services, within the scope of services as determined by the Arizona Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants, the Western Regional Medical Center (WRMC) medical staff rules and regulations and the WRMC administrative direction. The Physician Assistant is the agent of the Physician Assistant's supervising physician for any medical services(within the supervising physician's scope of practice) that are delegated by that physician and that are; within the Physician Assistant's scope of practice and are delineated by protocols, practice guidelines, or practice directives established by the supervising physician. The Physician Assistant may perform health care tasks in any setting authorized by the supervising physician.
Bachelor Degree in a healthcare related field
Physician Assistant certification obtained by an institute accredited by Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)
Licensed in the state of Arizona
Proficient computer skills
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Minimum of 3 years as a Physician Assistant in the specialty
ACLS/BLS certifications
Oncology experience preferred
Strong background in surgical experience including suturing and Laparoscopy for Surgical Physician Assistant
Thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology
Proficient knowledge of computer programs including computer physician order entry programs
Maintain state license, continuing education credits
Suturing and Laparoscopy experience required
