Description:
The Oncology Nurse is a registered nurse who is empowered to deliver personalized comprehensive oncology care to radiation patients through the nursing process, combining therapeutic use of self, innovative technology and collaboration among patients, families and health care professionals. Is responsible and accountable for providing leadership to non-licensed staff as demonstrated by prescribing, delegating, and coordinating radiation oncology nursing care for optimum patient outcomes.
Will recommend repairs and work process efficiencies within their area and/or the department. Shares responsibility for the maintenance of efficient scheduling, patient flow and quality assurance, as well as having an alertness for fiscal soundness within the division.
Performs other related duties incidental to the work described within.

Current Arizona RN license with BSN degree

Current BLS

Minimum of 2 years of RN clinical experience in an acute health care setting

Previous oncology experience preferred, especially in the field of radiation therapy
