This role provides a broad range of Human Resources Services to employees and management. Primarily this will be in strategic partnerships and employee and labor relations and may be assigned to assist with other specialty areas. Will serve as Human Resources Generalist for facilitating other Human Resources functions as they arise in the course of normal duties. Completes special projects as assigned.

As a successful candidate, you will: 

  • Provides day-today support for the Strategic Partner team. Is a resource for employees and managers regarding human resource policies and procedures and Collective Bargaining Agreement relative to all aspects of employment.
  • Proactively assures that company employment, labor relations and equal opportunity policies and practices comply with the applicable provisions of federal and state laws.
  • Assists in the research, planning, developing and implementing of new policies and procedures. Gather data from multiple sources, analyze the data and provide recommendations to HRSPs and clients.
  • Assists managers in identifying options, articulating advantages/disadvantages and/or risks of each, and facilitating a sound decision. Assumes accountability for accuracy and thoroughness of advice and for articulating and facilitating a smooth process. Uses resources in other areas effectively, but maintains accountability.
  • Collaborate with the Senior HR Generalists and HR Directors to identify opportunities for process improvement and consistency of key HR processes that improve operating performance and facilitate the achievement of the business goals. Produces analytical reports to assist Strategic Partners execute on business initiatives
  • Assists with investigating disputes and grievances, collects data, prepares reports
  • Assists Human Resources in the preparation for collective bargaining, contract negotiations, contract administration and grievances.
  • Represents the company at unemployment hearing and prepares managers for testimony.
  • Responsible for processing employment changes (ePAFs), and troubleshooting issues associated with employee changes
  • Assist business unit leadership with data analysis and reporting of organizational design, structure, compensation and other factors to help incorporate and drive industry best practices within the operational unit.
  • Delivers training in HR matters, such as policies, HR services, etc.
  • Documents and compiles statistics of employee and labor relations issues.
  • May develop plans, procedures and programs to meet specific training needs and problems.
  • Assists in implementation of employee services.
  • Communicates effectively with all levels of management, and staff. Fosters the development of teamwork within the department while meeting the needs of the departments being served.
  • Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, software, publications and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
  • Attends meetings and participates on committees as directed.
  • Conducts meetings as required.
  • Oversees the maintenance of records and files as required for effective personnel functions.

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree  (experience may substitute for minimum education requirements).
  • 3+ years of experience working in human resources.
  • Preferably:  Healthcare Human Resources experience highly preferred. Certificate in Human Resources Management.  Formal coursework in human resources discipline.
